Why not join us for some wonderful creative time away?
The first opportunity is at Awaroa Lodge in beautiful Golden Bay. 5th and 6th May 2018
Students will take a relaxing trip on the ferry to the lodge where they will stay overnight, with accommodation and meals included.
They will have some free time before starting a class making small books and learning some simple book binding techniques.
The class is Saturday afternoon and evening, continuing on Sunday morning when they will then head home after lunch.
Details are on the website- www.awaroalodge.co.nz/events
The second opportunity is in the lovely Hanmer Springs area during the period of the 11th-20th May. This is a fabulous Autumn Art School in gorgeous surroundings.
Join us for one (or more) classes over a week of opportunities. You do not need to be there for the whole week...but you may choose to!
Information is on the website- http://musicandarts.co.nz/amuri-arts-council-autumn-school/
Classes have an evening start where you will join other students for a ‘meet and greet’ situation before beginning a two day class.
Ronnie will be teaching three classes-
‘A Scripted Journey’ which is a wonderful Mark making class which uses letterforms as the basis for design exploration. Suitable for students with a range of artistic interests and ability levels.
‘Art Dolls’ where students will learn an interesting approach to creating their own art doll. This will stretch your idea of what a ‘doll’ can (or could) be.
Creative Fabric Collage which utilises small pieces of interesting fabrics to make a small machine stitched panel which can then be framed, used as a central cushion panel or on clothing. Some machine stitching ability required.
Dress up not required for class attendance..
For those of you who can't wait to find out what is happening , here is a link to the creative journeys website. Look up under the 'make your Mark' list for info on each class.
